How NOT to make friends and influence people...
And then I see but through a glass darkly...

I guess it's about time I updated this.
Let's get one thing out of the way, first of all- yes, I really am ginger. I have taken steps to mitigate this (mainly by shaving my hair off) but the luminescent body hair is still a dead give away. I am currently campaigning for ginger to be classified as an ethnic minority and / or a registered disability (if only for the free parking) but as yet have been unsuccessful.
I have come to the conclusion that I seem a lot more interesting than I, in fact, really am. I spend a large amount of my time locked in pursuits that tend to exclude the outside world. It's probably fair to say that I prefer most books to most people. I also spend way too much time playing video games. Though I am sure that at some point in my life, my razor-sharp reflexes and hand-to-eye co-ordination honed to perfection will be of paramount importance, as of yet, I have had no call to use them. If, for example, nightmarish demon hordes invade our world and the only way to stop their insidious invasion is to blast them with a light gun or challenge them to round after round of Soul Calibur 2, then I will doubtless be the saviour of the human race. Until such events come to pass though, my skills are of middling-to-no use. ;-)
I enjoy going out at the weekends and seem to have a knack for getting myself into the most surreal situations. I currently live alone in Manchester (at least for the immediate future) and I work for nationally-reviled telecommunications company but we try not to talk about that. I talk too much and definitely don't get enough exercise. I like to think I am funny but I often find I am wrong. Sarcasm may indeed be the lowest form of wit but as it is so readily applicable to almost any situation, it is my oft-irritating weapon of choice. I'm told I dance like a gay man and indeed often get mistaken for being so.
That's about it. If I think of something more interesting to put here, I'll do so. If there's anything else you want to know, just ask. You probably get a crap joke as a reply but hey, you'll learn to live with it...
